Amy, daughter of small business owners Kathryn and Robert Harriman, was born and raised in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. She grew up in Seminole Forest, graduating from Stoner Prairie Elementary School, Savanna Oaks Middle School and Verona Area High School. Amy went on to graduate from the University of Wisconsin- Madison with degrees in Political Science and Fine Art with an emphasis on Ceramics.
Volunteering and civic duty has been an important aspect of Amy’s life and was instilled early on. The Harriman family has a longstanding history of commitment to the community from serving as a Justice of the Peace to Wisconsin Assistant Attorney General. Amy has given countless hours volunte ering with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (More information on JDRF can be found here), Soup-er Bowl event for Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army (shown in photo, ringing the bell at Copps in Fitchburg) and her college sorority of Alpha Gamma Delta and their philanthropic work.
Amy is an avid outdoorswoman enjoying catch and release trout fishing, swimming at Seminole Pool, skiing, snowboarding, running and riding her bicycle. She often enjoys riding the Capitol, Nine Springs and Military Ridge Trails to get to work or around town.
